The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

●       Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)

●       Race for the purpose of matching you with potential mentors/mentees;

●       Ethnic origin for the purpose of matching you with potential mentors/mentees; and

●       Sexual Orientation for the purpose of matching you with potential mentors/mentees.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

●       When you provide us your contact information via the contact us page or the email subscription box;

●       When you respond to our emails;

●       When you interact with us over social media; and 

●       When you sign up and use the PushFar mentoring platform. 

 

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

●       From our mentoring platform PushFar in the course of you signing up to and using the mentoring platform.

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

●       Provide you with our services, particularly mentoring-oriented services; and

●       Respond to your queries, questions and requests for information.

We may share this information with:

●       Limit Break or Out Making Games employees, volunteers or members;

●       PushFar employees; and

●       The police or law enforcement bodies for the purposes of complying with an investigation or request.   .

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting hello@limitbreak.co.uk
(b) We have a contractual obligation.
(c) We have a legal obligation.

 

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored and processed by the following third party platforms:

●     Newsletter - Mailchimp servers are located in the United States. Because Mailchimp incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses into its Data Processing Addendum and continues to protect EU personal data in accordance with Privacy Shield Principles, Mailchimp can lawfully receive EU data.

●     PushFar - All of your personal information is protected and we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and management procedures to safeguard and secure the data we collect. Your information is stored on secure cloud databases, internal servers, and on third party softwares. All of your personal data is protected through encryption. Your information is only accessible by employees who have authorised access rights to such information. All of your payment information is encrypted using SSL technology. We keep your personal information for a maximum of seven years. We will then dispose of your information by automatically deleting all of your data from the PushFar platform at the end of each mentorship intake of that year.

 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
